  • Emerson Innovation Centre in Pune commits to hire more women engineers, including in leadership roles

    Celebrating International Women’s Day, Emerson is initiating a women-recruitment campaign highlighting Emerson’s clear position as an equal opportunity employer in India

    Pune, March 4, 2015–The Emerson Innovation Centre in Pune, which provides world-class product, software design and engineering services for Emerson's businesses globally, today announced a recruitment drive aimed at hiring more women engineers. This initiative will take place from March 6 to March 20, 2015, in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8.

    All levels of open positions at the Emerson Innovation Centre, from entry level to senior and niche positions in the fields of mechanical, electrical, instrumental, and embedded and computer engineering, are included in the recruitment effort. To reach women engineers, the Emerson Innovation Centre will be advertising via billboards in prominent places around the city of Pune.They have also announced referral benefits for their existing employees who recommend qualified candidates. The application process is through the Emerson India website (www.Emerson.com/en-IN) where all open positions are listed.

    Emerson Innovation Centre – Pune employs more than 1,000 engineers who are involved in the entire new product development cycle for many of Emerson’s products and services worldwide. Currently, about 18 percent of these employees are women and Emerson hopes to increase this number significantly through the recruitment campaign.

    This recruitment initiative is another step undertaken by Emerson to increase the number of women employees at its innovation centre in Pune.
