BEIJING, China (October 12, 2013) -- The 2nd “Emerson Innovation Cup” China University Students Metallurgical Contest was successfully held in Southeast University from October 10 to 11, 2013.
The Competition was sponsored by the Institution of China University Laboratory Working Committee and Material Subject Experiment Teaching Research Society and organized by Southeast University. Students who studied Materials Science in 48 leading colleges and universities participated in this hard-fought competition. After a judging panel reviewed and rated the submissions, students from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Southeast University, and Beijing University of Technology were awarded the top three prizes.

After the competition, Dadong Zhao, general manager of Emerson China, gave a speech on "Talent Cultivation Strategy and the Global Development Vision of the Company”. He provided an overview of Emerson and discussed the company’s latest efforts in technology innovation and talent development. He encouraged the students to work hard, turn challenges into opportunities and pursue outstanding performance.
