  • Emerson Appoints New China General Manager

    BEIJING (Oct 30, 2015) — Emerson (NYSE: EMR) today announced that Jennie Li has been named general manager of Emerson China. In this role, Li will be responsible for Emerson’s corporate activities in China, including developing and maintaining relationships with key customers and government officials, implementing corporate programs, as well as driving Emerson’s growth strategies to further strengthen its market-leading positions in China.

    Li joined Emerson in 2003 as Principal Representative for Government Relations in China. In 2004, she took on the additional responsibility of serving as Chief Representative for Emerson’s Corporate office in Beijing. In 2014, she was promoted to Deputy General Manager, Emerson China. Prior to joining Emerson, Li has worked for Wal-Mart in China, Metromedia China Corporation, and the Economic & Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

    Li succeeds Dadong Zhao who has retired after working more than 13 years with the company.

    After graduating from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 1990, Li went on to participate in the executive MBA program at the China Europe International Business School.
